Water Pump Inverter FAQ
1. What are the differences between solar pump inverters and regular inverters?
Solar pump inverters are specialized equipment. They feature built-in MPPT algorithms that track the solar panel’s maximum power point in real-time. They also integrate pump-specific functions, such as dry-run protection and automatic shutdown when the water tank is full. Their protection rating is higher. Regular inverters lack these features. Direct replacement will damage the system.
2. Where are solar water pump inverters suitable for installation?
Choose a ventilated, dry, shaded, and sun-protected location. Ambient temperature should not exceed 50°C. Humidity should be below 90% without condensation. Keep away from flammable and explosive materials. Best to install in a waterproof box. Maintain some distance from the submersible pump to prevent water splashing. Never block the heat dissipation vents.
3. Is it normal for water output to decrease on rainy days?
This is completely normal. When sunlight is insufficient, solar panels generate less power. Pump speed and flow rate will drop by 50-80% accordingly. This is MPPT performing adaptive adjustment. For a stable water supply, increase solar panel capacity or add batteries. The same applies to a 15-25% efficiency reduction in winter.
